The idea is by the German designer Julian Lechner: giving new life to coffee grounds by making cups and saucers. From the idea to the reality the step was short thanks to the collaboration with the Kaffeeform company: artifacts not only beautiful to look at, but also fragrant. They are light and resistant and can also be washed in the dishwasher.

The coffee grounds necessary for production are collected daily in the Berlin area from a social organization that also takes care of the first phase of drying. Then the special compound designed by Lechner made from natural and renewable raw materials (including starch, resins and natural oils, cellulose) is added to the dried funds.

These innovative cups made of coffee are already on sale, even online, for the moment only in Europe.
